Project overview
NO PHOTOS: envelop is an abstract interpretation of a Fold encounter where sound, lighting, architecture and emotions collide into an explosively exhilarating moment. A compression of countless experiences into a single visual snapshot.
The artwork is constructed by layering textured sheets of paper, in a process that creates depth and a spatiality, exploring rhythmic movement, tension and kinetic energy. The dynamic composition is designed to suggest a sense of an ‘inside’ and an ‘outside’ with a sectional cut through time/space and a wired band enveloping and holding the viewer, evoking community, safety and belonging.

The series was born out of a desire to encapsulate the hyper-sensory experience of events at the London club, Fold, encompassing both spatial and emotional narratives. Embracing the no photos policy, the works are created through fragmented memories and post impressions, aiming to capture a deeper essence of a journey through Fold.
In a world where community-led club spaces are precious and not to be taken for granted, NO PHOTOS serves to reflect upon, record and celebrate the scene.
